Melitta Coffee Makers
Melitta ME1MSB Smart Brew Coffeemaker, a 10-cup pot that uses Microsoft SPOT (Smart Personal Objects Technology) to give you almost-live weather data from MSN Direct right there above its button pad

I just purchased a Melitta Smart Mill & Brew. As I write, I'm enjoying another wonderful cup of coffee from this cool machine! I did a lot of research on mill and brew coffee makers, and although there were unfavorable comments regarding the buttons sticking on this machine, it had the ability to change the grind levels and was said to be quieter when grinding than others. So far, I am thrilled! I use the finest grind and it makes a wonderful, deep flavored pot of coffee (no grounds in the coffee either!). And, much to my great surprise, even with all the new weather gadgetry and all, it's a SNAP to use!!! Hubby LOVES the weather thingie.... I just wanted an easy-to-use coffee maker that grinds and brews a REALLY GREAT and STRONG pot of coffee. If you want a totally mess-free machine, get a pod coffee-maker. But I actually didn't find this that difficult to clean. I like the idea of the grinder being in the basket and no jam-ups of coffee grounds in some chute that delivers the grounds to the basket as with the Cuisinart. Kudos to Melitta for making it so user friendly!!!! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the buttons keep working without getting stuck... all the while enjoying fresh ground and brewed delicious coffee!

We have had this coffeemaker for 3 months now and absolutely love it. Have had no problems whatsoever with the buttons not working. Enjoy the weather forecast perk and the sleeping cat and its wake up is a hoot. But best of all, it makes THE best coffee. Cleaning it is SO much easier than our previous Cuisenart Grind & Brew. Highly recommend and should it be necessary, would buy again.
Melitta Coffee Makers
There are mixed reviews of the Melitta coffee maker. The Melitta Smart Mill Brew Coffeemaker with MSN Direct Region Specific Weather will give weather enthusiasts real time region specific weather forecast information with fresh brewed coffee. The built in clock is automatically set by radio signals and restores itself after power interuptions.
There is no need to worry about filters again - just wash and reuse. There are not separate compartments to clean for grinding and brewing. The coffee it makes is superb. You are able to choose how fine you want the beans ground which allows for mild, medium, or strong coffee. There are 7 grinding levels.
The reason there are mixed reviews are mainly because some customers cannot pick up a weather signal. If it doesnt pick up a signal, there is no way to manually set the clock. Most customers have not experienced an MSN outage/timer reset problem.
The coffeemaker features a permanent stainless steel filter, pause-to-pour function, warming plate with auto shut-off and water reservoir with large view window. The user interface is fluent in French, Spanish and English.
